Craftsman Bungalows
The American version of the Craftsman style grew out of the Arts and Crafts Movement in 19th century England. Gustav Stickley helped promote it in his Craftsman Magazine by reporting on bungalows with simple gables, extended eaves, porches, hand-crafted details, and easy garden access. The examples below -- all by exclusive designer Brooks Ballard -- update the Craftsman bungalow for modern living.
