Smith Associates in 1991, and he has completed numerous private residences, remodels, in the San Francisco Bay Area, Washington State, Colorado, and Hong Kong. Karl is a graduate of Trinity College Hartford, Connecticut, (B.A., '64) and the University of Pennsylvania B. Arch, '68 and M. Arch , '72, with Louis I. Kahn.
