Sarah Ascolese and Misty Weaver founded 5 Elements Design to bring modern eco-friendly design to stock plans. Their esmallHousePlans MOD series is shown here. A graduate of the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, Sarah comes from a long line of civil engineers, architects, and craftsmen and designed a variety of custom homes before co-founding the company. Misty, a graduate of Gannon University, grew up in the historic town of Williamsport, PA, and was inspired by its character-filled Victorian architecture to follow a career in home design. She and Sarah offer innovative and affordable home plans based on the way families really live rather than on an ever increasing square footage.
