Plan Description

If your lifestyle allows, one of the best ways to make a small home work is a studio arrangement. This has lots of function including a generous laundry room that you don’t find in many houses of this size. And at 312 sq. ft. the great room has plenty of room for a screen to hide a bed or to build in a Murphy bed. - Fine Homebuilding Magazine Minimalist Studio \ This 825 square foot modern studio or cabin, supported by concrete columns, is adaptable to any site with a minimum disturbance. The minimalist simplicity of this passive solar design makes it economical to build and very efficient to heat and cool. The original design of structural insulated panels is clad with a rustic corrugated cladding, which can be replaced by many exterior finishes from stucco to wood shingles. This simple form can be enlarged, added to or grouped together to accommodate many family lifestyle needs.
