Courtney Pittman is a photographer and our Houseplans.com social media maven, and her home in Austin, Texas, was just profiled on the West Elm blog using her own splendid photographs. The blog calls it "Bohemian Style in Austin" and I think her home offers interior design ideas for anyone thinking of building a house. Courtney says: "My overall idea was "Mid-Century Boho" because I'm obsessed with both so thought, why not combine these two great styles?!" Here are some of her photos to help you jumpstart your own furniture layouts!

1. A Mid-Century Modern Vibe (photo above). Note the crisp white walls, geometric-patterned black and white American Indian rug, Eames side chair, among other elements that set the stage.

2. Screen Porch Style. Early modern butterfly chairs (echoed, literally, in the blades of the ceiling fan!), brightly hued geometric area rug, sisal poof, dangling party lights turn the porch into a stylish sitting room.

4. Supporting Roles. The organic wood stump complements the wood floor and contrasts handsomely with the simple white plant container.

5. Wall-flowering! Drink in that simple but elegant arrangement of distinctively labeled bottles with the jazzy sunburst wall clock -- is it cocktail time yet?! Almost any simple vignette can lend personality to a room.

Bravo Courtney!
