For those who love outdoor living, this raised cottage will bring back memories of Grandmothers house with its grand front and rear porches. The porches are not just for looks because they are sized to accommodate those old swings or rocking chairs, the elements of truly enjoyable living. The interior is open and airy to make it bright and inviting. The master suite is grand and has a sitting area and an adjoining bath complete with bathing tub, separate shower, private toilet, twin vanities, a giant walk-in closet and even a bath appliance garage for storing those unsightly items like hair dryers. The utility is situated between the master suite and the kitchen to save mom countless steps when fulfilling those daily laundry chores. There is even a door from the utility to the bath room so delivering clean towels to the linen cabinet is only two steps away. The kitchen is compact but open and fully appointed including an eating bar, pantry and a bay window eating area. The two secondary bedrooms are adequate size and both have nice walk-in closets plus easy access to the spacious hall bath. All equipment is housed in its own private room to reduce noise and for easy servicing without the need to access the homes interior.

FAQs

Are designs on Houseplans ready to submit to my building department for permitting?

It depends on where you're building. Our plans contain enough information for a professional builder to construct your home, but your local government may require additional information before permitting. We strongly advise that you talk with your builder before you get started. If you are building for yourself, we recommend visiting your local building department to start your diligence. Read more here.

Can I make changes to a plan?

Absolutely! Our modification service allows you to customize almost anything - whether it's adding an extra garage bay, adjusting square footage, changing the roof pitch, or more, the plan modification service is a great value and can be completed quickly. Additionally, if you purchase an electronic plan set (PDF or CAD), you may have the option to make changes locally. CAD files offer the most flexibility for custom edits. Just let us know what you're thinking, and we’ll provide an estimate and timeframe to get started. Learn more here.
